Why do doctors have to be paid for saving human lives? Why can’t doctors save human life free of cost?

    Answer by Brett Snodgrass:

Some do. I tried to go overseas to help fight Ebola for free. Yet the Missouri Medical Board reprimanded me before the Honorable Judge for reporting months of unsafe breast cancer care in the UMKC Pathology Department. The UMKC Pathology Department lied to the ACGME Home claiming that UMKC
    1. Often document the ischemic time. (The Truth: UMKC never documented the ischemic time January to June 2011, and I am shocked that they even made up such a lie to the ACGME).

    2. The Ischemic time for lumpectomy specimens is always less than 30 minutes.  (rarely true if ever; Neither the ACGME, nor the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts ever reviewed the surgical pathology reports at Truman Medical Center-Hospital Hill at 2301 Holmes Street, 2nd Floor- Pathology Department, Kansas City, MO 64108. Nonetheless, the medical board called me a liar before the honorable Judge and they did this at the expense of patient safety. I have blogged more about the UMKC Pathology Breast Cancer Scandal of 2011 elsewhere. In summary, the answer to your question is

    1. Some do.
    2. Corruption.
    3. Greed.

    Kind regards,

man live for free. (some do) #MedEd

    Answer by Jayesh Vira:

We will, when just saying "I am a doctor" will start getting us and our dependents whatever we want for free – education, big hospital, Lamborghini and the petrol to run it, a couple of farmhouses, Hawaiiaan holidays in Royal Suites (or whatever they call their costliest suites), ownership of Taj Mahal, Kohinoor Diamond. Get back to me when you have figured out how to meet my demands.

(P.S. I haven't mentioned any gizzmos or movie and live performances benefits because I think such cheap, lowly, sultry things are implied as a part of the big picture)

Till then, we maintain status quo.

This is what one of us has done. And there are many more as well.
